Biography
Joshua was born and raised in Southern California and attended Oberlin College in Ohio. Since graduating with a degree in physics he has worked steadily as a software developer in NYC.
He initially became interested in photography as digital cameras became available in the late 90's and began documenting underground electronic music in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Early on he switched to black and white film and taught himself how to develop and process his work. Later he studied darkroom work and served as a classroom assistant at the International Center for Photography in NYC but is otherwise entirely self-taught.
